There are maxis, and there are mini-maxis. And then there’s this maxi from Iyana, which is like no other. This dress may start off looking like just your little black maxi, but that simple black skirt turns into tassels and puts a whole new spin on what you thought you knew about maxi!

Keeping with little black dress fashion, this maxi starts off with a plain black tube top, secured with a simple elastic both at the top and at the waistline. From there the skirt continues on in the same simple style until it reaches the knee, where it’s finished off with a beaded hem leading into a mesh of stringy black tassels. The back of the dress is identical to the front; so no matter which direction they’re looking at, they’re sure to get the full tassel effect!

To keep with the folksy feeling of this dress, pair it with a pair of flat strappy slingback sandals, and keep the jewelry bold but basic. Large solid bracelets, large metallic earrings, and a long dangling necklace would all work!
